We are a family owned business and pride ourselves on our reputation, most of all the level of service that we provide to our clients and the long term relationships that we have developed with them.
We take a holistic approach to financial planning, tailoring our advice around individual client needs and objectives.
Client engagement and regular reviews are the key element of the service that we offer.
We have a strong team offering both experienced advisers who have been in the industry for a number of decades through to younger staff who have grown with the business since graduating from university.
We believe in career development and giving opportunities to young enthusiastic individuals who wish to enter the Financial Services industry,
Regular Review Service
Your needs and objectives are likely to change over time and as a result Howard Wright believe you should regularly review your financial situation.
There are many different types of Investments and Investment products each offering different opportunities and returns. We will help and advise you in all areas of investment creating an investment portfolio based upon your goals and attitude to risk.
We provide our own Investment portfolios with research carried out by the members of our investment committee, with both active and passive investments to suit all requirements.
The Regular Review Service has been developed to provide an effective ongoing service to its clients with a regular information flow and communication being key to the service.
The aim of a full financial review is to enable you to readdress your financial situation and ensure that it is still relevant. At least annually, your adviser will meet with your adviser to update your personal details and discuss the impact that any changes may have on your financial plan.
In addition to the full financial review you will be subscribed to an e-shot service, which aims to provide relevant ongoing communication in between review meetings, including performance information regarding the portfolio your are invested in, an overview and outlook of investment markets and any key industry and regulatory changes deemed relevant for our clients. There is a minimum ongoing remuneration requirement for this service which would be discussed with you during your initial meeting.
The value of your investments can go down as well as up, so you could get back less than you invested.
Retirement Planning is a very complex area however with quality advice and constant evaluation a suitable retirement strategy can be achieved. With the recent changes in legislation, a reduction in state provided provision and increasing longevity the need to provide a regular income in retirement has become ever more prevalent.
Howard Wright are able to help you both whilst funding for your retirement and when you reach your desired retirement age with the numerous options that are available to you in todays retirement market.
We provide advice to all sizes of employers with regard to the various corporate benefits available to them from pension schemes to group life and income protection. We have been heavily involved in ensuring that both our existing and new corporate clients have fulfilled their requirements for auto-enrolment in regard to setting up and implementing a qualifying pension scheme.

We also advise on the implementation of group life and group income protection schemes which many employers use to enhance the employee benefits for their staff. We then assist with the annual renewals and any claims, also dealing with individuals and/or their families to help with the completion of paperwork and individual advice in what can be very emotional times.
Inheritance Tax Planning requires specialist advice and needs to be structured carefully over a period of time. It is one of the most complex areas of financial planning as it incorporates many different types of policies for very specific purposes. However, once your carefully structured plan has been implemented, it will need regularly reviewing as values of assets and investments can change.
Many of us may become subject to Inheritance Tax due to the rapid rise in the value of our homes without even realising it. We may feel that it is unfair to pay tax on our estate upon death after already paying tax on our income, savings and investments during our lifetime. Inheritance tax is sometimes referred to as a ‘voluntary’ tax as there are ways that the amount of tax payable by your estate could be reduced or mitigated.

Howard Wright believe that protection needs should be reviewed frequently to ensure that they are still meeting the clients’ objectives. The addition of children into your family or children becoming non-dependent are all key events that may alter your protection needs. With income protection it is essential to make sure that the benefit being provided is sufficient to meet your household needs should you be away from work due to sickness or injury, which can change for many reasons such as an increase in your monthly commitments or liabilities. We also advise on protection policies, such as Whole of Life, that can be utilised as part of Inheritance planning and Critical illness that would pay out in the event of a diagnosis of one of the listed illnesses.
The provision of life cover and income protection is important at all stages of life.
Although we do not wish to think about what would happen in the event of a partners’ death or illness it is important to have sufficient cover in place to provide for your needs during these times.
If you are looking at purchasing a new property, want to re-mortgage, arrange a Buy to Let or are simply looking to get on the property ladder, then we are here to help you. At Howard Wright we are able to search the mortgage market for competitive rates to match your requirements.
There are many types of rates and terms available to suit all different individuals from fixed rates where you want to be certain of your monthly payments to discounted and tracker rates where you may pay less, but with the possibility of the interest rate changing leading to a decrease or increase in your mortgage payment.
With so many options and lenders to choose from it is important that you seek advice as for most individuals your mortgage will be your large liability and biggest monthly outgoing.
Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage
